The festivities kick off on January 15th with a free panel discussion, followed by the 8th Annual MLK Youth Tech Summit at City Hall on Friday, January 16th. Athletes and families can hit the pavement on Saturday, January 17th, for the MLK Freedom Run 5K/10K or enjoy the "Taste the Dream" Festival at the Historic Westside School. The week culminates on Monday, January 19, with the 44th Annual Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Birthday Parade—the largest parade west of the Mississippi—starting at 10:00 AM in Downtown Las Vegas at 4th and Gass.
